We designed Careo, a concept health app that uses machine learning and NLP to help patients with chronic conditions synthesize symptoms, prioritize insights, and prepare for doctor visits. The project focused on transforming fragmented, complex health data into clear, actionable information for both patients and specialists.

Research
We went through multiple rounds of research, talking to users (people with chronic conditions), and feedback from some technologists @IBM before finalizing our target topic.
User challenges
Managing multiple specialists and scattered medical data
Difficulty noting and tracking symptoms consistently
Overwhelming medical jargon and cognitive load
Limited feedback loops with doctors
Need for better understanding and decision-making before appointments
How might a design harness machine learning capabilities to enable a patient with chronic conditions to translate, prioritize, and analyze their data into a useful and understandable format — prior to a doctor’s visit?
